Awards & Recognitions 2023 – 2024 Season
- Marching Tigers placed 4th in 2023 at Illinois State Marching Band Championships, where we have been finalists also in 2022, 2019, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, & 2010. Marching Tigers also scored 2nd place in BOA Regional, another state competition, and a local competition, topping it off with a Grand Champion at yet another local competition in 2023.
- After marching was completed, several individuals and ensembles went on to place well in district and state competitions. Winter guard and Indoor percussion made appearances at world championships in Dayton, Ohio.
Our program provides a unique opportunity for students to participate in a team environment with both student mentors and faculty support. Eat student will dedicate at least 300 hours practicing for their performances for marching band alone. The students contribute $600 per year in dues/fees for participation, and the booster organization fundraises the rest. This is a huge undertaking!
