WINTER BAND CONCERT – 2/24/24
Our Winter Band Concert is this Thursday, February 22nd, at 7pm in the Auditorium.
Call Times for band students is 6pm for Concert/Symphonic Bands on stage. 6:15pm for Wind Ensemble in the band room. 6:30pm for 9th Grade Percussion in the auditorium.
Doors will open at 6:30pm for audience members.
CONCERT WEAR: Concert attire will be used for all concert performances. Students are responsible for supplying their concert attire:
- ALL Black Dress Pants/Slacks (No skirts, dresses, leggings or jeans), Black Dress Belt
- ALL Black Dress Top (Long sleeve button up dress shirt with collar or long sleeve blouse), Solid black long tie is optional
- ALL Black Dress Shoes – Male and Female Styles vary (No flip flops or sandals), Marching Band shoes are okay to wear-Shoes must be flats, no high heels or platforms
- ALL Black Dress Socks (Calf High), Female style shoes may not require socks
CONCERT BAND/SYMPHONIC BAND COMBINED REHEARSALS
As we prepare for our WINTER CONCERT on February 22nd, we’ll have Concert Band and Symphonic Band meet in preparations for the concert from 2:20-3:20pm on February 15th.
BAND PLACEMENT AUDITIONS
Band Placement Auditions will occur in class during the Week of March 4th. A more specific schedule will be distributed as we get closer to that week. These auditions are required for all students. The results of these auditions will give an idea of where students are in their musical development and place them in the appropriate band for next year. EVERY MONDAY AFTER SCHOOL (2:20-2:50PM), WE WILL BE HAVING A GROUP PRACTICE SESSION ON THE MUSIC. Here is information and music:
