MARCHING BAND REHEARSALS (THIS WEEK)
Rehearsals this week are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Tuesdays will be a visual focus and students will be expected to wear a white shirt of some sort. Thursday, with it being the first day of classes, we will wrap up around 8:30pm as students adjust to the new schedule. On Saturday, we’ll have a day full of new material to work on.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
NO INSTRUMENTS needed on the first day of school. We will assign instrument lockers on the first day, so you’ll be able to store instruments on Friday.

BAND HANDBOOK
Please review the band handbook. We will cover this the first couple days of school. Our band does a lot and has a large amount of equipment, so the handbook is necessary. Parents and students will need to sign off on the handbook as we conclude going over it in class.

CAR WASH PLEDGES
If you haven’t done so, please submit your pledge sheet and donations in an envelope marked “Car Wash” and give it to Mr. Hatcher. Please note, we washed 203 cars this year.
PAYMENTS
The final marching band payment is PAST DUE, pay by check or in Charms with a credit card. If there are any questions regarding payment, contact boosters@pnhsbands.com
MARCHING BAND PICTURES
Our annual marching band pictures will occur on Monday, August 29th, from 6-8pm in the main gym. This will be individual and group photos. More details to come.
FUNDRAISE GENIUS
Our biggest fundraiser of the year is set to launch during practice on Saturday, August 27th! We are working to raise $30,000 of the $50,000 in fundraising dollars needed to compete this season. Through our partnership with Fundraise Genius and your commitment, we can reach our goal. Students, your job is to create a list of 10 people who might want to support your passion for music this season. You will need the name and email address of all 10 contacts. Great potential donors include grandparents, aunts, uncles, extended family, coaches, private instructors, family friends, coworkers, and more! Let’s leave your teachers and current band directors off this list. On Saturday, August 27th, you will bring your list of contacts with you to practice. During practice you will register your Fundraise Genius account and add your contacts. Fundraise Genius will reach out to your contacts on your behalf to begin fundraising. Your loved ones want to support your interests, so get them excited about your upcoming competitions, and let them know they will receive an email from Fundraise Genius on your behalf.

ABSENCE REPORT
If a student is missing a full band rehearsal or performance for an excused absence, parents/guardians should complete the Absence Report Form at this link. http://www.pnhsbands.com/absence-request-form/ If a student has to be gone during a sectional, guard and percussion should notify their instructors, and wind players should notify their section leaders.
QUINLAN AND FABISH – SUMMER REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
