NEW SEMESTER
Tuesday, January 19th marks the start of a new semester. Students get a fresh start on grades and we’ll be gradually working towards having students in-person at school. With the transition to hybrid learning coming up, school will now begin at 7am and conclude at 11:15am. The afternoons will be reserved for student work time and teacher guidance. Please visit the school website for more information.
RETURN TO LEARN – HYBRID LEARNING
We are ready for students to return. Through the next couple weeks in remote learning, we’ll cover how the band will work at school from arriving with instruments at the beginning of the day to class time, and then departing for the day. Brass and Woodwinds, we have the necessary safety materials for performing on their instruments. As we get closer to handing these materials out, we’ll talk about care instructions. PERCUSSION: You will not be able to borrow sticks/mallets, so you should be at school with your required materials: concert snare sticks, yarn mallets, and plastic mallets, with a stick bag to carry them. Boxes are $5 each and your choices are lemon-ups, trefoils, do-si-dos, samoas, tagalongs, thin mints, s’mores, and/or toffee-tastic(gluten free).
