GRADES AND COURSEWORK
We are at the 6-week mark for the school year. Please visit Home Access Center to stay up on student grades. We will be contacting parents and students this week with D’s or F’s. Ample time has been given in class to complete the work within the period. Students have not been given any homework. Expectations are that students perform on their instrument during class, and they complete the assignments during the period. Students/Parents will need to communicate to Mr. Hatcher or Mr. LaVallee if there are any tech issues that keep students from participating and completing the work.
Other expectations: Videos are expected to be on when we play on instruments during class to prove participation, and videos are expected to be on when we have written quizzes.
MARCHING BAND REHEARSALS
Tuesdays and Thursdays this week with our full voluntary marching band. We are staying in groups of 50 or less and maintaining a minimum of 30ft between groups. We will continue to do symptom checks at the gates of the stadium. Tuesday will be Guard/Woodwind checks from 5-5:15pm and Brass/Percussion 5:15-5:30. Woodwinds will be dismissed at 7:15 to stagger the departures. Thursday, this will be flipped Brass/Perc checks at 5, Guard/Woodwind at 5:15, and Brass dismissed at 7:15pm.
PERFORMANCE: Our Marching Band will perform on October 22nd in the PNHS stadium. Spectators will be limited to band member families. We will have two performances, 6:30 and 7pm. The stadium will be cleared between performances. More details to come, including limitations on attendees. Performance wear for the band members will be costumes!
