FIRST REHEARSAL WITH 8TH GRADE WOODWIND AND BRASS – MAY 30TH
PLEASE NOTE: PERCUSSION AND GUARD ARE AS NORMAL WITH EVERYONE
We begin our journey with NEW 9th graders on Tuesday, May 30th, from 6-8pm, in the AUDITORIUM. Section leaders will also be there to help our new band members. Students will need athletic wear/comfortable clothing to be active, gym shoes, and water. No instruments are needed for the first day. This meeting will be a chance for our new band members to meet leadership, learn about the school and facilities, and learn some basic marching before we combine with the older members.
NEW PARENTS: We’ll have a meeting at 6:15pm, in the cafeteria, as a chance for you to get to know our school and band program, as well.
FUNDrive
Time to do some Spring cleaning at home and help out our band program. Check out the details. You’ll be able to drop off those items at PNHS during mini-camp.
ABSENCE REPORT
If a student is missing a full band rehearsal or performance for an excused absence, parents/guardians should complete the Absence Report Form at this link. http://www.pnhsbands.com/absence-request-form/ If a student has to be gone during a sectional, guard and percussion should notify their instructors, and wind players should notify their section leaders. If there is a long term absence, please e-mail Mr. Hatcher with details.
