BAND HANDBOOK
Please review the band handbook. We will cover this the first couple days of school. Our band does a lot and has a large amount of equipment, so the handbook is necessary. Parents and students will need to sign off on the handbook as we conclude going over it in class.

SECTIONALS
Sectionals begin this week for all sections of the band. Please plan accordingly. Wind sectionals on Wednesday have been shifted 10 minutes earlier to help with some students schedule conflicts for sports and some other activities.

MARCHING BAND PICTURES
Our annual marching band pictures will occur on Monday, August 29th, from 6-8pm in the main gym. This will be individual and group photos. More details in the coming week.
FUNDRAISE GENIUS
Our biggest fundraiser of the year, Fundraise Genius, is almost here! Our goal is to raise $30K of the $50K in fundraising dollars required to complete at this level. Remember to bring the name and email address of at least 10 contacts who may wish to support you to practice on Saturday, August 27th. Great potential donors include parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, extended family members, family friends, coaches, private music teachers, parents of close friends, and more! On the 27th during practice, students will register their Fundraise Genius accounts and enter their contacts. Once all contacts have been collected, Fundraise Genius will send a personalized email to each of the contacts and start the fundraising process! This is our most effective and efficient way to reach our fundraising goals.
We will have three prizes for this year’s Fundraise Genius campaign:
- Each student who enters at least 10 valid contacts by the end of the day on Saturday, August 27th will be entered into a drawing for $100.
- Each student who raises at least $250 will be entered into a drawing for $100.
- The top student fundraiser will earn $100.
ABSENCE REPORT
If a student is missing a full band rehearsal or performance for an excused absence, parents/guardians should complete the Absence Report Form at this link. http://www.pnhsbands.com/absence-request-form/ If a student has to be gone during a sectional, guard and percussion should notify their instructors, and wind players should notify their section leaders.
QUINLAN AND FABISH – SUMMER REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE
