The students can drop off the snack/dessert in the cafeteria before right before camp OR you can drop it off in the cafeteria at 4:30 pm. If you are providing items on the Monday of each week, it would be appreciated if they are dropped off by 1pm, so we may use your donation for the afternoon snack.
Snack Ideas: Fruit, cut up, whole or in a fruit salad—everything goes, bananas, apples, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, etc. We found that with the heat, frozen grapes and berries are a welcome treat. Veggies– carrots, celery, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower, snap peas, etc. And don’t forget the ranch dip! Wrapped snacks– granola bars, rice krispy treats, bags of chips, pretzels, muffins, cheez-its, trail mix, ice freeze pops. Prepackaged snacks are always a good choice. Dessert ideas– cookies of all kinds, brownies, cupcakes, etc. **PLEASE NO NUT ITEMS**
We are allowing home baked goods, but please provide a list of ingredients to avoid any possible allergy issues.
Please let us know specifically what snack/dessert you plan on bringing in the Sign-Up Genius comment section.
The kids will appreciate anything you bring in. They will need all our help to refuel from their hard work.
NOTE: We ask that you bring in your food donations in disposable containers/serving dishes. If that is not possible, please make sure that you label bottoms, tops and utensils with your name. You can pick up your dishes after dinner outside Mr. Hatcher’s office. Also please make sure you label the tops and bottoms of your child’s water bottles/jugs/coolers, so pieces don’t get lost.
P.S. Come in and join the fun! We always welcome extra hands. Contact Suzanne Jahnke at 630-697-7873.
