Also located in Student Resources is the marching band uniform code. We’ll go over this in class so we know what is expected of us in wearing our uniforms. General notes to think about: students will be expected to show up for performances with their member shirt, non-baggy gym shorts, calf high ALL BLACK socks, hair is up, no make-up is worn (except guard), and head piercings are covered up or removed. http://www.pnhsbands.com/student-resources/
STAGG AND ANDREW ITINERARIES
Itineraries for both Stagg and Andrew are available in Student Resources. Plan ahead with rehearsals and performance times! Final versions will be sent out during performance week. http://www.pnhsbands.com/student-resources/
ULTIMATE DOT BOOK
Marching Band students have received their Ultimate Dot Books. Students are to enter in their sets, coordinates, counts, pictures, and music, into the dot books. These Dot Books will be checked regularly for a grade. Login to Student Resources to access drill, coordinates, and videos: http://www.pnhsbands.com/student-resources/ (password protected – presented to students in class and through text)
Scenes 1, 2, 3 should be completed in their entirety by TUESDAY’S REHEARSAL
SMARTMUSIC
We will begin to use Smartmusic as away to track student’s progress on their instrument. This is a terrific tool for practicing and assessing student performance. Smartmusic can be accessed through any computer with an enabled microphone or iPad. Students will be able to practice with it and submit assignments from home or use the computers at school during study hall or designated after school times. Some assignments will be in class only. QUINLAN AND FABISH (INSTRUMENT EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES)
We have a district preferred retailer, Quinlan and Fabish, to help the needs of our students with their instruments and accessories. You may order through them and they will hand deliver items to us at our school. Also, instrument repair is highly suggested to go through Q&F. You may visit one of their locations (closest is on Rt. 30 in Montgomery), visit their website (www.qandf.com), or pick up a flyer in the band room.
