STUDENT SCHEDULES
As students received their official schedules last Thursday, there are mistakes with regards to band placements. Counselors have been contacted to fix the errors, you do not need to contact them. Here is what the schedule should be: 2nd Period-Symphonic Band PERCUSSION, 3rd Period-Concert Band, 4th Period-Symphonic Band WINDS, 6th Period-Wind Ensemble
FIRST DAYS OF SCHOOL
School begins this week with an early release on Wednesday. For Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, students will not need instruments during the school day (They WILL NEED instruments for marching band rehearsals). We will be working on getting lockers for students, signing up for Smartmusic, going over expectations, and working on an activity.
MARCHING BAND SECTIONALS
Marching band sectionals are a required component of our curriculum. Percussion sectionals will happen on Tuesdays starting at 4pm, Wind sectionals will be on Wednesdays from 2:20-3:15pm (Beginning 8/21), and Guard will be Wednesdays from 2:30-4pm (Beginning 8/21).
MARCHING BAND PAYMENT
The final marching band payment for 2019 was due on August 1st. Pay through Charms or address checks to PNHS Band Boosters and drop them off in the Band Office.
ABSENCES FROM EVENTS
If a student needs to be absent from an event(such as rehearsal or performance), you must submit the absence through the form on the website. http://www.pnhsbands.com/absence-request-form/
FLORIDA/DISNEY TRIP PAYMENTS
The next payment for our Thanksgiving trip to Florida will process on Friday, August 16th. Payments and information is made through Bob Rogers Trave: www.ips.bobrogerstravel.com
PATRON PROGRAM
If you know someone or some business that would like to support our band program with donations, check out the link. Names and business will be recognized on the website, social media, and our concert programs. DINING OUT FUNDRAISERS
Our next dining out fundraiser is Monday, August 19th at Panda Express.. The band will receive a percentage of your purchase. Coming up: September 18-Sharko’s, September 23-Culver’s, October 28th-Portillo’s.
SCRIP FUNDRAISING PROGRAM

BOOSTER MEETINGS
These meetings are designed to help discuss supporting our band program through funding, volunteering, and music advocacy. The next General Meeting will occur on Wednesday, September 4th at 7pm. Enter through Door P at the school.
QUINLAN AND FABISH (INSTRUMENT EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES)
We have a district preferred retailer, Quinlan and Fabish, to help the needs of our students with their instruments and accessories. You may order through them and they will hand deliver items to us at our school. Also, instrument repair is highly suggested to go through Q&F. You may visit one of their locations (closest is on Rt. 30 in Montgomery), visit their website (www.qandf.com), or pick up a flyer in the band room.
